Kronk Cake

My sister and her boyfriend have simultaneous birthdays (his is first, hers is the next day). They love the movie "The Emperor's New Groove". I decided to make them a birthday cake based on the movie.

I'm taking a cake making class, and in our first lesson we were given a recipe for butter cream icing and shown how to add color to the icing, ice a cake, and use decorating tips.

So, I took those techniques and created my first character cake. They love the scenes with Kronk and Izma, and they quote them all the time. So, I created a goofy cake present in the spirit of the goofiness of the film.

I "wrapped" the cake and put it on a table. It said "I put your cake in a box". Then when you opened the box there was a smaller box inside that said "And then I put that box inside of another box". It got the reaction I thought it would. When my sister saw the boxes, she asked me "You aren't going to smash it with a hammer, are you?"
